Rare uncorrected proof of the first edition of the twelfth novel of Ian Fleming's James Bond series. Octavo, original light green pictorial wrappers. In very good condition, stamp of the Edgeware Hospital Red Cross to the front pastedown and half-title page. A very sharp example.
"Ian Fleming was too ill to complete this last Bond novel before his death, so novelist Kingsley Amis was hired to complete and revise it (Black, 75).“ It was made into the 1975 film starring Roger Moore as Bond, with an all-star cast which included Christopher Lee, Britt Ekland, Maud Adams and Hervé Villachaize.
