First edition of the first lady Barbara Bush's memoirs. Octavo, original half cloth, illustrated. Boldly signed by both Barbara Bush and President George W. Bush on the front free endpaper. Laid in is a photograph of George W. Bush at Station Square in Pittsburgh, taken during his visit on August 4, 2000, as part of his “Whistle Stop” presidential campaign tour. The image shows Bush standing and waving from the caboose of a train before a large crowd gathered for the event. According to the previous owner of the book, it was during this campaign stop that the volume was signed by George W. Fine in a fine dust jacket. Jacket design by Jackie Seow.
