Signed limited edition of the eleventh Bond novel, the only Bond title issued in a limited edition, this example accompanied by the exceeding rare 1963 book launch invitation. Octavo, original publisher's black cloth with vellum spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, color frontispiece portrait of Fleming by Amherst Villiers. One of 250 numbered copies signed by Ian Fleming on the colophon, this is number 143. In fine condition in the original acetate dust jacket which is also in fine condition. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box. Also present is the exceptionally rare gilt-edged printed invitation to the book launch of On Her Majesty's Secret Service and the first day of shooting of From Russia With Love. The invitation is jointly from the directors of Jonathan Cape and the directors of Eon Productions, the party being held at Pinewood Studios on April 1st 1963. The invitation is housed in a gilt-stamped black invitation wallet. An exceptional example, exceeding rare with the book launch invitation.
