Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the title page, "To Evans and John - one more in a long series Much Love Jim, James Jones." James Jones, who won the 1952 National Book Award for his debut novel, 'From Here to Eternity,' published the non-fiction account of his experience in WWII over twenty years later in 1975.
