Folio, original publisher's pictorial boards with magnetic fore-edge closure, profusely illustrated with high-quality reproductions of Royo’s signature Mediterranean scenes. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the second free endpaper, "Para Gregorio y Kay Garcia con amistad Royo Nov. 2012." One of 500 numbered copies, this is number 148. Accompanied by a presentation letter in a black envelope stating the number of the copy and signed by Royo laid in. In very good condition with splitting of the text block from the spine. José Royo (b. 1941) is a Spanish painter renowned for his luminous, impressionistic style that draws heavily on the Mediterranean landscape and classical themes. Trained at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia, Royo developed a technique characterized by bold brushwork, vibrant color palettes, and a deep sensitivity to light and texture.
