First edition, Lancaster issue of one of the earliest printed tributes to George Washington, published only three years after his death. Octavo, bound in full period calf, morocco spine label lettered in gilt, engraved frontispiece portrait of Washington. In very good condition, flyleaf laid down, repairs to verso of frontispiece, toning to the first several leaves and text block edges. Contemporary bookplate of Robert Reed to pastedown and 1811 presentation inscription from Rev. Colin McFarquhar to George Washington Reed.
