Octavo, bound in full gray morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe with a pictorial design in multicolor leather mosaic, with tooling in palladium and gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt topstain, housed in a matching felt-lined slipcase. An exceptional and imaginative design, the rear cover with a figure in black, approaches a door set in a wall through which can be seen falling leaves (in gilt) against autumnal shades, illustrations by Pauline Baynes. In fine condition. A unique example.
