Each volume is signed or inscribed by the author: Vol. I is signed by William Manchester on the title page; Vol. II is lengthily inscribed by William Manchester in the year of publication on the dedication page, “For Pat- With warmest regards and all good wishes- Wm Manchester Washington D.C. November 1988”; Vol. III is inscribed by Paul Reid, whom Manchester chose to finish the volume following his death in 2004, "To Christopher Stercins with Best wishes to a great Churchillian Paul Reid Nov 2 2013." Each volume is near fine to fine in a near fine to fine dust jacket with light wear. A very nice set, uncommon signed.
