How Will My Family and I Be Affected -- End. This is an extremely scarce Julian Snyder title published in 1973, the year Nixon took the United States off the gold-backed dollar. Julian Snyder was a self-described international economist and ran a publishing company in the 1970s and 80s called the International Moneyline Press. Snyder himself was a constant fixture in the New York financial world during that period and wrote several other books including, Rules for Financial Survival in the 1980's and The Way of the Hunter-Warrior: How to Make a Killing in Any Market. While he was much of a perma-bear based on the central bank's money printing policies, many of his market doomsday predictions failed to play out. In a 1978 Washington Post article he did end up nailing the 1980 Fed Interest Rate at 15% to 20%. The rate peaked at 18% in 1980 -- in 1978, at the time of his prediction, it was just 7.5% -- gotta give him that one. He was also a student Nikolai Kondratieff and his cycle theories. Scarce title from this outspoken economic character from the 70s and 80s.
