Rare early 18th century Book of Common Prayer in a royal binding bearing the ciphers of Queen Anne. Folio, bound in full contemporary green calf with gilt royal ciphers of Queen Anne to the spine in seven compartments within raised gilt bands, rebacked, gilt paneling and scrolling to the front and rear panels with royal cipher cornerpieces, marbled endpapers, ruled in red, Sadler family genealogy (1784-1855) in several hands to early blank. In very good condition with some marginal losses and tears with neat restorations, rubbing to the panels, rebacked. A fine example of the restrained yet elegant design characteristic of bindings commissioned under the reign of Queen Anne.
