Naturalist and wildlife artist Ernest Thompson Seton was one of the founding pioneers of the Boy Scouts of America, particularly the appropriation and incorporation of what he believed to be Native American elements into the traditions of the BSA. A prolific writer and artist, several of his works have been adapted for television and film including the 1989 to 1990 Japanese Seton Animal Chronicles.
