The image shows Apollo XI crew members in quarantine being congratulated by President Nixon through a microphone. The oversized color photograph appears to be a blow-up of a contemporary magazine page, complete with printed captions, and is mounted on chipboard. Signed by Richard Nixon, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and inscribed by Michael Collins, "Best wishes to Felix - M Collins." The caption beneath the image reads: Once inside a special trailer where they began an eighteen-day period of quarantine to preclude contamination of the earth by potential moon germs, the astronauts talked and joked by microphone with a jubilant President Nixon who was moved to acclaim their accomplishment as the greatest feat since the creation of the universe.
