Rare signed large format photograph of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in the royal entryway of Buckingham palace. Signed by the royal couple, "Elizabeth R. 1976" and "Philip." Triple matted and framed the entire piece measures 22.5 inches by 17 inches. A beautiful example.
Elizabeth II has been Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand since her coronation on February 6th 1952. She ascended the throne at the age of 25, upon the death of her father, King George VI, and was proclaimed queen by her various privy and executive councils shortly afterwards. Elizabeth II began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
