Mary Oliver was one of the most beloved and best-selling American poets of her time, celebrated for her luminous and accessible poems of the natural world. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1984 for American Primitive and the National Book Award in 1992 for New and Selected Poems. Oliver lived for many years in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the town at the tip of Cape Cod that gives this fine-press volume its name and that shaped so much of her work. Provincetown, her eighth book, was issued in 1987 by the press at Bucknell University in a small signed and numbered edition.
