Imperial octavo, bound in full brick red niger with gilt titles and tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised gilt bands, multi-colored leather pictorial onlay on the front panel depicting Elizabeth Bennett reading Jane's letters (after the frontispiece: "Reading Jane's Letters), double gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, gilt turn-ins and inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, tissue-guarded frontispiece, with illustrations throughout on China paper.
