Rare complete first edition set of Churchill's Post-War Speeches, each of which had a single print run and including The Unwritten Alliance, the last of Churchill's books published during his lifetime. Octavo, five volumes, original cloth. Near fine in the rare original dust jackets which are in near fine condition. The Sinews of Peace is in a price-clipped dust jacket. A very sharp set.
Churchill's Post-War Speeches cover the period from Demobilization in 1945 when he was Leader of the Opposition through his second term as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and into his retirement. The collection includes the final book published during Churchill's lifetime, the Unwritten Alliance, published in 1961.
