First edition of this classic Churchill travelogue. Octavo, original cloth, with three full-page maps and over 60 photographs. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Presented to the Liberal Association of Dundee by Winston S. Churchill." Churchill became Liberal MP for Dundee at a by-election on 9 May 1908, and held the seat until 1922. This book appears to have been a gift from the newly-elected MP to his constituency party association. In near fine condition. Housed in a custom full morocco clamshell box. A superior example, exceptionally rare and desirable signed.
