Octavo, bound in full crushed levant morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe with gilt titles to the spine, gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, central gilt vignette of the HMS Bounty to the front panel, gilt ruled inner dentelles stamp-signed by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, marled endpapers, all edges gilt, illustrated by Fletcher Martin. With a Preface by the authors and an appendix containing the true story of Peter Heywood. One of fifteen hundred numbered copies printed for members of the Limited Editions Club and signed by the illustrator on the colophon, this is number 401. In fine condition.
