Rare original Goodbye, Columbus LP featuring music from the soundtrack of the Paramount Motion Picture based on the 1959 novella of the same name by Philip Roth. Signed on the front panel by actress Ali McGraw and actors Richard Benjamin and Jack Klugman. In very good condition.
Goodbye, Columbus is the story of Neil Klugman and pretty, spirited Brenda Patimkin, he of poor Newark, she of suburban Short Hills, who meet one summer break and dive into an affair that is as much about social class and suspicion as it is about love. The book was a critical success for Roth and won the 1960 U.S. National Book Award for Fiction and was adapted into the 1969 film of the same name starring Ali MacGraw, Richard Benjamin, and Jack Klugman. The screenplay for the film, by Arnold Schulman, won the Writers Guild of America Award.
