First British edition of this early novel by Greene, which would later be republished as The Shipwrecked in 1953. Octavo, bound by Brian Hall in three quarters morocco over cloth boards with gilt titles to the spine in six compartments with raised gilt bands, gilt ruling to the front and rear panels. In fine condition.
Anthony Farrant has always found his way, lying to get jobs and borrowing money to get by when he leaves them in a hurry.
