"Controversy swirls today around the nature and practice of the law, as it swirls with equal heat around the powers and actions of the Court. Not since pre-Civil War days, perhaps, has the Court been under such violent attack as it is today" (Allen Drury). In his 1983 political novel, 'Decision,' Drury opens the case of personal bias and public duty for examination. Vested interests muddy the waters of the justice system all the way up to the Supreme Court, and his main character must face his own biases to choose what matters most.
