One of six hundred numbered copies signed by the author on the colophon, this is marked "out of series." From the library of novelist Erica Jong, with a laid in postcard from Jong to her husband Ken Burrows inscribed with a short original poem and dated 25 Dec 1989. In near fine condition.
Published in 1930, Eliot's Ash Wednesday presents the struggle and difficulty of embracing religious belief and the possibility of personal salvation in the midst of angst, spiritual exhaustion and uncertainty.
