First edition of this anthology of Canadian poetry. Octavo, original pictorial wrappers, four issues of poetry, number two. Boldly signed and dated by Leonard Cohen on the title page, "Leonard Cohen 2002." This is an early appearance of Cohen in an anthology at the age of 24, and features Cohen's poems, "The Cuckold's Song" and "Master and Slave." Additionally signed by the editor Irving Layton beneath his name on the title page with his annotations in the text. Irving Layton was an early and lifelong friend and mentor to Cohen. Also in this issue are poems by Louis Dudek, Leonard Cohen’s teacher and supporter from his University of McGill undergraduate days. In very good condition.
