First U. S. edition, first printing of C.S. Forester’s beloved African adventure, basis for John Huston’s 1951 Oscar-winning film starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn. Octavo, original cloth. In very good condition with bumping to the crown and foot of the spine, extremely light toning to the first few leaves, and a small loss to the corner of the final leaf. One of only 2500 examples of this first American edition were printed.
