First Edition of Paris + Klein; Boldly Signed by William Klein
First Edition of the photographer's monograph of his beloved, adopted city of Paris of which he dreamt of living while growing up in the streets of New York. Folio. Boldly signed in silver marker by William Klein on the title page. Fine in a fine dust jacket. Afterword by Anthony Lane.
"Paris + Klein is a feast for the eyes" (Mary Blume, International Herald Tribune). The beauty, violence, strangeness, and humor of Paris come to life from still photographs taken by the talented painter and photographer William Klein in this utterly unmatched photo book. Capturing politics, public protest, and the real lives of people in what can only be called 21st century frescoes, Klein has created a striking timepiece, "the antithesis of nostalgia - brusque, in your face and hard-edged" (Dana Thomas, Newsweek).
