Octavo, 40 volumes bound in three quarter morocco with gilt titles and tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised gilt bands, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers, frontispiece with captioned tissue guard to each volume, illustrated with plates with captioned tissue-guards, title pages in red and black. The Edition De Luxe, limited to one thousand numbered copies, this is number 586. In near fine condition. A very attractive set.
