Signed limited first deluxe edition of this illustrated natural history of the trout. Oblong octavo, bound in three-quarters Nigerian goatskin over silk moire covered boards with gilt titles and ruling to the spine in six compartments within in raised bands, gilt ruling to the front and rear panels, top edge marbled red, frontispiece, illustrated throughout of trout from around the world. One of 12 numbered copies, this is number 9. Boldly signed by the author James Prosek and the producer Tony Lyons on the limitations page. An original watercolor of a trout painted by the author tipped in, signed and dated below, "Norfolk, CT James Prosek 2005." In fine condition. A poster of select trout from the book with paintings and text by the author laid in at the rear. Housed in a custom full silk moire slipcase with gilt titles on a Nigerian goatskin label to the front panel.
