Apollo 11 Certificate of Appreciation for an individual's "Contribution and Effort toward The Success of the Apollo 11 Mission." One page, certificate presented to a contributor to the Apollo 11 lunar landing mission, decal of the Apollo 11 mission insignia adhered to the front within the words "Man on the Moon 'The Eagle has Landed,'" imprinted with Neil Armstrong's famous quote: "I'm going to step off the LM now. That's one small step for man. One giant leap for mankind," signed by J. E. Davis of the SIMCOM/Aerospace Division Singer-Link Division, additionally signed in black felt tip by the Apollo 11 Crew: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. In near fine condition. The piece measures 11 inches by 8.5 inches. Rare and desirable signed by all three members of Apollo XI.

On July 20th 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on the lunar surface. Six hours after landing, Neil Armstrong became the first person to step onto the lunar surface; Aldrin joined him 19 minutes later and the two spent over two hours collecting lunar materials. Armstrong's first step onto the lunar surface was broadcast on live TV to a worldwide audience, during which he uttered the historic phrase, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Apollo 11 effectively ended the Space Race and fulfilled a national goal proposed in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy: "before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth."
