Presentation copy, uniquely inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper with a long quote from Lincoln, "Inscribed for L. D. Green with the good wishes of Ida M. Tarbell. 'Let us be quite sober. Let us diligently apply the means, never doubting that a just God, in his own good time, will give us the rightful result.' Lincoln in August 1863." In very good condition, some dampstaining. A unique inscription.
