Folio, original wrappers and comb binding, illustrated with thirty of Adams' iconic black and white photographs. Boldly signed by Ansel Adams on the front free endpaper. Near fine in good wrappers. Rubbing, small losses, and closed tears to the extremities of the wrappers; front and rear panels, front flap of the wrappers detached.
American landscape photographer and environmentalist Ansel Adams known for his black and white photographs of the American West. He and Fred Archer developed a system of image-making called the Zone System, demonstrating the impact that exposure, negative development, and printing have on the tonal range of an image.
