First edition and signed limited edition of Hertz's compilation of tributes delivered upon the occasion of the death of President Lincoln. Quarto, bound in three quarter morocco over buckram with gilt titles to the spine, tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Lincoln, illustrated. One of one hundred numbered copies signed by the author on the limitation page this is number 50. Presentation copy, additionally inscribed by the author on the limitation page, "To my good friend Ralph G. Lindstrom Esq with the best wishes of the Author June 3rd 1935." The recipient, Ralph G. Lindstrom was a noted Civil War and Lincoln scholar. Foreword by Rev. Dr. J. H. Hertz. Introduction by Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler. In fine condition. Very rare with noted provenance.
