Large format photograph of the southern half of Taiwan as seen from the Gemini-10 spacecraft on the original presentation mount. Inscribed on the mount by John Young and Michael Collins, "To: Bill Drewes, with best regards, John Young, GTA-X" and "Formosa (Southern half) from Gemini X—Michael Collins.” In near fine condition. The entire piece measures 10.75 inches by 13.5 inches.
The 8th crewed spaceflight in NASA's Gemini program, Gemini 10 was the 16th crewed American flight and the 24th launched spaceflight. Gemini 10 was designed to achieve rendezvous and docking with an Agena Target Vehicle (ATV), and EVA. It was also planned to dock with the ATV from the Gemini 8 mission. The spacecraft was manned by Command Pilot John W. Young and Pilot Michael Collins. Gemini 10 was Collins' first spaceflight.
